Two years ago I started my health journey to lose a few pounds and hopefully find some energy to be a great mom to my boys. Along the way it has become so much more!! The inches continue to melt off, the energy is out of this world, and I haven’t been sick in the last 2 years!
Four weeks ago my trainer wanted to change my food plan a little and wanted to incorporate Keto into what I was already doing. I didn’t follow it to a T, because well… I love my carbs. I really didn’t feel like it was doing much, mainly because I wasn’t giving it my 100% . When I start doubting what I am doing I always do my measurements, my weight and a side by side picture. The weight was EXACTLY the same, so I was a little bummed.. Did my measurements and was down 8 inches over all (pretty cool!) But then I did my side by side, and umm… well Pictures really do say a thousand words!!
Going forward I want to see what I am completely capable of, so for the Month of April I am following the 30 day system with my nutrition company, and also Keto.
I am also training a lot harder for the Spartan Sprint next month. Starting with today! Four of my good friends joined me in a training put on by the Spartans and can I just say, I have some work to do!! Doing these with friends makes it so much more fun. I love laughing while working out

He wanted me to drag the bag (65lbs) across the floor, but I had to open my mouth and say it was TOO light.. So he jumps on! Not only did I go the full length of the carpet with him on it, but I went pretty fast! My workout partner went half way and was struggling. And that’s ok!! We are all in different stages of our health journey’s!!
Anyway, today… it was 2 hours of straight workouts, with active rests, in a parking lot (which means concrete!)
I felt like I did pretty well keeping up with the group, even though we did a LOT of burpees, push ups and jumping jacks (which seem to lock my calves up!) Even running around the parking lot I felt GREAT!!! Oh!! They wanted us to do firemen drills with our partners and my partner had a messed up ankle so I did both turns with her on my back, I LOVE these kinds of workouts!!! Made sure I had plenty of protein, lots and lots of water. And rest. I didn’t want to over do it today, so I have been watching movies all afternoon.
Until about 2 hours ago, I started getting a horrible pain in my left arm, shoulder and going down my back. I don’t know what is going on. But I know it takes a lot to knock me to my knees in pain, and this is doing it!! I just want to vomit, it hurts so bad. I tried taking a nap and can’t sleep. So I will rest tomorrow, along with Intermittent fasting. And come back on Monday with a fresh start.
